Sent to Serve
Romans 10:13-15 For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"
Jesus Christ was sent as the ultimate example of love and sacrifice through service. Gracewood is a church with a desire to be sent to make disciples throughout the two communities in which God has called us. Serving others is a command given in scripture and one of the most rewarding experiences that a Christ follower can have. Take the opportunity to get involved, to be sent, to serve.

Current Local Opportunities:
Fox Meadows Friends: (PROGRAM PAUSED) School is back in session and our Fox Meadow Friends vacation bible school has been paused until next summer. We had a lot of fun interacting with these kids and their parents over the summer. This was an overall great experience for everyone involved. If you want to jump on board for next year, feel free to go ahead and reach out now to get added to the volunteer list.
This is a collective effort between churches to provide spiritual guidance and physical nourishment for children within the community. This summer the administration at Cumberland Plateau Regional Housing Authority has partnered with Feeding America to provide a free lunch to kids at Fox Meadows, a neighborhood within Lebanon that houses approximately one hundred families that have many children flourishing within its development. Fox Meadows Friends will assist in serving a meal, a fun and engaging activity, and a Bible lesson. Please follow this link to take advantage of this wondrous opportunity to serve your community.
Kid's Club: During Summer Kids Club, kids ages 3-10 make a craft that goes along with the Summer Kid's Club theme but also has a purpose, to reach those who need Christ. They then give their craft to someone and share the love of Christ with them!
Mercy Projects: Our small groups participate in what Rick Warren calls Mercy Projects. As a church, we went through a campaign together and each small group came up with a project of their choice and donated through time and finances to share mercy with those in need. Our Connect Community Group meets regularly and will often provide meals for Recovery at Lebanon Community Fellowship.
